A little New York secret about the big Broadway plays is that many have discounted standby tickets. If you are willing to wait it out or try to go at off times, head over to the theatre about an hour before the play is set to start and put your name down for standby. You can also call ahead to find out which theatres offer discounted standby.

For a nice even tan, head out to the beach with a comfortable towel, an interesting book and a cold beverage. Rotate from stomach to back every 20 minutes or so and don’t forget to use sunscreen! If you are going for a darker look, use an SPF 10 and a higher number for a lighter tan.

Wisconsin’s Sturgeon Bay is great this time of year - our personal favorite spot is Egg Harbor for the pleasant scenic country towns and beautiful lake beaches off Lake Michigan.
